What can I eat?
The Daniel Fast may be new to some or confusing to others; however, it can be as simple as you choose to make it. As we deny our flesh and feed our spirit, we have provided some recipes to help make this fast easier and more approachable.
These recipes can always be used as suggestions or inspiration more than anything. Make it your own!
When in doubt, remember these four tips to help you stay in bounds with the Daniel fast:

Vegetable Platter with Hummus
This is a great start when thinking about simple snacks one can put together. Gather your favorite vegetables for the platter and switch out the yogurt or ranch with hummus!
Hummus Recipe
Ingredients:
How to:
Simply put all the ingredients except the water in a food processor or blender.
Blend till smooth.
Add the water for creamier hummus!

- 1 can 15oz Chickpeas (Garbanzo Beans)
- 1/4 cup Tahini or Unsweetened Peanut Butter
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 3 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- Salt to taste
- 2-4 Tbsp Cold Water
How to:
Simply put all the ingredients except the water in a food processor or blender.
Blend till smooth.
Add the water for creamier hummus!

Roasted Potatoes
That simple? Yeah!
Ingredients
How to:
Cut the potatoes into wedges or bite-size cubes.
Drizzle oil, salt and peper or any herbs on the potatoes.
Mix until all the potatoes are coated.
Lay the mixture on a lined baking tray.
Bake in the oven at 375 F for 45 mins or until cooked.
The potatoes can also be cooked in an airfryer at 400 F for 30 mins or until cooked.

Cook the brown rice.
Dice up the tomatoes.
Drain the cans of beans and corn.
Put your bowl together.

Add the plant based milk or coconut water to help start the process.
Blend until smooth.
For a more juice-like consistency, add more milk or coconut water.
Example Recipe: Strawbwrry, Banana and Spinach Smoothie.

Crispy Black Bean Tacos
These black bean tacos are perfect to satisfy that craving, even if it’s not a Tuesday.
Evenly oil a medium-sized sauté pan over medium heat. Add your onions, salt, garlic, add your seasoning and stir. Add the black beans and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
Pour in the vegetable broth, lightly mash your beans until the blend mixes, and remove heat.
If the mixture is loose, cook for an extra 2-3 minutes.
Place your mix in your corn tortillas and you’re ready to dig in!
